Tiffen 6.6x6.6" Low Light Dispersion Glass LL-D Filter
This filters is from the old stock of a big film company, mostly not used.
USED but in EXCELLENT condition with no pits and scratches.
The Tiffen Low Light Dispersion Glass Filter is popular with cinematographer's.
The Low Light Dispersion filter (LLD) is the same shade as a traditional yellow #85 filter (The #85 series will produce natural colors when shooting with tungsten film outdoors).
However, it is used instead of the #85 in low light scenarios since it does not require the 2/3 stop light loss of the #85.
This filter opens up shadows while adding a noticable warmth to the image.
The LL-D was designed to help in the above situation primarily when using film.
It requires no exposure compensation, and makes sufficient adjustments to the film to enable the timer to match the color of a properly 85-filtered original.
It is not an all-around replacement for the 85.
Use it only where needed for exposure purposes, and for subsequently printer-timed work.
